Jillian & Jocelyn - 3/27/09 | NEW TAMPA BABY PHOTOGRAPHER
Yesterday I had the pleasure of photographing Jillian and Jocelyn, the 2 daughters of our good friends Mandy & Jason Stephens. Jocelyn got a little bit camera shy, but Jillian worked it like a pro! Her beautiful smile just warms your heart, and her bubbly personality will have you grinning right back at her in no time-- see for yourself!

Lifepoint Church Worship Band - 3/21/09 | NEW TAMPA MUSIC BAND PROMO PHOTOGRAPHER
I moved completely out of my comfort zone last Saturday and did some low-light shots of the worship band at Lifepoint Church. Shooting in concert-like settings is very tricky, as the light is constantly changing (spotlights, stage lights, strobes, etc.). So you absolutely cannot rely on any sort of automatic settings with your camera-- you gotta take the bull by the horns, baby! Anyways, I was fortunate enough to escape with a few decent shots. Enjoy!

Hello, world! | WESLEY CHAPEL FASHION PHOTOGRAPHER
This is the first official posting on my new blog, which will serve as the counterpart to my portfolio website at http://www.russrobinsonphotography.com/
Here I'll be posting pics as I shoot them-- anything from family photos, portrait sessions, photojournalistic work, etc. so that all of you can see what I'm currently working on. Since Facebook compresses and hopelessly mutilates the images that I invest countless hours editing and perfecting, and since cross-posting them on Flickr is quite frankly a large pain in the posterior, I came to the realization that a blog was the best solution. I mean, why Photoshop these images well into the wee hours of the morning, enhancing subtle details and making colors pop, just so Facebook can essentially defecate on all of them in one fell swoop?
Anyways, sorry for the imagery, folks, but as a photographer the details are what's really important, and I don't like having my efforts go in vain. I trust that you will see quite a difference in quality versus what you've seen me post on my Facebook page. Hopefully this blog will grow right along with my business, and who knows-- maybe it will become something much bigger than just a place to share my photos. Thanks for visiting, and do check back often!
