Plant vs. Alonso JV Football - 10/1/09 | NEW TAMPA FOOTBALL SPORTS PHOTOGRAPHER

Last Thursday I decided to step outside the studio and try something completely different-- shoot a high school football game. Being a huge USF fan, I follow their recruiting very closely, so I figured it'd be really exciting to see some of these up-and-comers in their natural element. Turned out to be a total blast walking around the field, hearing the interactions between players and coaches, and being so close to the action I could almost feel the vicious hits. I'll definitely be doing more of this in the near future.

Before & After, Episode 7 | WESLEY CHAPEL FASHION GLAMOUR PHOTOGRAPHY

This fashion/glamour image has gotten more comments than any other in my portfolio since I uploaded it to my profiles on ModelMayhem, OneModelPlace, and FashionPage. Perhaps it's the whimsical expression of the model, or maybe it's the splash of color on the background that complements her dress, but whatever it is, people really seem to like it.

I put this image through my normal glamour retouching routine, enhancing the eyes, teeth, and skin, and making colors pop a little more. I also added a light green gradient to the background to make my subject really stand out and enhance the overall appeal of the image. If you look at the original, you'll see part of the chandelier that used to hang from my studio ceiling (it has since been removed), and you'll also see the edge of the white tileboard that the model is standing on. These things are really easy to clean up in Photoshop-- the only thing you really need to worry about when doing shoots like this is making sure that the model completely surrounded by white.
